Last 15th of October we opened a new edition of VAD festival, the sixth, with a presentation of approximately seventy works, chosen from more than seven hundred submissions received through our call for entries. Single channel works: a selection of more than forty videos that it will be projected in the Auditorium of Casa de Cultura, divided in three thematic groups in specific relation with the next key words:

Installations/ interactive works: A selection of net.art works, video installations, interactive works… grouped in the exhibition room of Casa de Cultura.

Live shows: The famous VAD’s Nits Digitals , in this occasion with a selection of nine shows in competition. A good proposal for every night at Centre Cultural La Mercè.

La Mercè is also a meeting point to know and share around the bar installed every evening during the festival. The centre will be the place for the Saturday’s lunch-debate, where we will search for replies at the question: Which is the role of a festival like VAD in the context of the diffusion and promotion of the culture nowadays?
